Preschool Program for School Readiness

Learning life skills that fosters independence.

We encourage our children to be independent in varying ways. Through smaller groups and individualized attention, we are acutely aware of when a child is ready to learn life skills - dressing themselves, putting on shoes and jackets, brushing their teeth, washing hands, setting the table and using the potty independently. Our graduating children are praised in subsequent schools for their independence and readiness for a larger environment.

Teaching early literacy skills.

In a mixed age environment, we let the child tell us when he/she is ready for a literacy program. We recognize the signs of readiness and help them develop early literacy skills - learning to read, write, and spell.

Continued physical development through sports.

With a large backyard, we engage children in several age appropriate sports activities - including running and racing, football and basketball. Our grassy lawn cushions their fall and provides the right ground for their physical environment. You can often hear the children cheering their friend on!
